چکیده
For example, the pentagon is strongly regular with parameters (v, k, λ, μ) = (5, 2, 0, 1). One easily verifies that a graph G is strongly regular with parameters (v, k, λ, μ) if and only if its complement G is strongly regular with parameters (v, v−k− 1, v− 2k+μ− 2, v−2k+λ). The line graph of the complete graph of order m, known as the triangular graph T (m), is strongly regular with parameters ( 2 m(m− 1), 2(m− 2),m− 2, 4). The complement of T (5) has parameters (10, 3, 0, 1). This is the Petersen graph. A graph G satisfying condition (i) is called k-regular. It is well-known and easily seen that the adjacency matrix of a k-regular graph has an eigenvalue k with eigenvector 1 (the all-one vector), and that every other eigenvalue ρ satisfies |ρ| ≤ k (see Biggs [4]). For convenience we call an eigenvalue restricted if it has an eigenvector perpendicular to 1. We let I and J denote the identity and all-one matrices, respectively.

Hangzhou – Workshop Lectures on Abelian Varieties
Note: I make no claim that the material in these lectures is original. In fact, the bulk of what is contained in the three lectures can be found in [3], and the reader is encouraged to study these papers of Mumford for the many deeper results contained therein. For the basic theory of abelian varieties an excellent reference is [2]. LECTURE 1.
متن کاملLectures on the Madsen–Weiss theorem
This is a draft of the lecture notes for my four lectures at the Park City Math Institute, Utah 2011. The lectures form a continuation of Nathalie Wahl’s lectures, and I refer to her lectures for context and motivation. My goal for the lectures will be to give a precise statement of the MadsenWeiss theorem and give (most of) a proof. The theorem was first proved by Madsen and Weiss in [4]. The ...
متن کاملFive Lectures on Khovanov Homology
These five lectures provide an introduction to Khovanov homology covering the basic definitions , important properties, a number of variants and some applications. At the end of each lecture the reader is referred to the relevant literature for further reading. About these lectures These lectures were designed for the summer school Heegaard-Floer homology and Khovanov homol-ogy in Marseilles, 2...
متن کاملPark City Lectures on Mechanics, Dynamics, and Symmetry
i Preface In these five lectures, I cover selected items from the following topics: 1. Reduction theory for mechanical systems with symmetry, 2. Stability, bifurcation and underwater vehicle dynamics, 3. Systems with rolling constraints and locomotion, 4. Optimal control and stabilization of balance systems, 5. Variational integrators. Each topic itself could be expanded into several lectures, ...
متن کاملComparing the effectiveness of SMS and lectures on the job training for nurses
Introduction: Due to difficulties in nursing education by teaching methods, and the uncertainty of the effectiveness of teaching by SMS, this study Comparing the effectiveness of SMS and lectures on the job training for nurses. Methods: This study was a randomized intervention study in 2014. The samples in this study were selected by cluster sampling among the nurses in hospitals of Arak. Then ...
